Okay… I need someone to explain to me how it is already April.
Because last I checked, it was like… January 12th.
And now suddenly we’re talking about graduation, prom, weddings, summer plans… and apparently when everyone is opening their pool.
Like… excuse me?? When did that happen?
Time is flying right now, and I know I’m not the only one feeling it.
I’ve had multiple people in my chair lately say the same thing:
“I thought I had more time.”
“I didn’t forget… I just didn’t realize it was this soon.”
And honestly… same.
Life gets busy. You’re working, running around, keeping up with everything, and then all of a sudden—boom—you’ve got an event this weekend and no plan.
Hair’s not done. Nails aren’t done. Outfit? We’re figuring it out.
We’ve all been there.
And here’s the part I want you to actually hear—
Running behind doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It doesn’t mean you don’t have your life together.
It just means your brain is doing what brains do.
We get into routines, we focus on what’s right in front of us, and before we know it—time passes faster than we expected.
There’s actually a reason for that.
When life gets repetitive or busy, your brain kind of goes on autopilot, and time feels like it speeds up. That’s why January felt long… and now April showed up out of nowhere.
So if you feel like you “lost track of time”… you didn’t.
You just got caught up in living your life.
But this time of year especially—it picks up FAST.
Spring turns into summer overnight, and suddenly your calendar is full of things you actually want to show up for and feel good at.
So this is your little reset moment.
Take two seconds, think about what you’ve got coming up, and get ahead of it just a little bit.
Not perfectly. Not over-planned.
Just enough that you’re not stressing the week of.
And if you didn’t plan ahead?
You’re not alone.
I will always try to squeeze you in when I can—I get it, I really do.
But this is also the busiest season, so availability gets tight fast.
So if you’re thinking about booking… just do it.
Don’t wait until it turns into a panic text.
Also—quick reminder…
If you’re sitting there thinking,
“Do I need a haircut?”
Yes. You probably do.
At the end of the day, none of us have this perfectly planned out.
We’re all just trying to keep up while time moves way faster than it should.
So if you feel a little behind right now—you’re not the only one.
Just don’t let it sneak up on you again next time
If it’s something we talk about in the chair…
